This project is funded by Pfizer Global Medical Grants. The co-principal investigators are Aurélien Delluc and Katrine Sauvé-Schenk.

The main objective of this research project is to optimize patient care by using patient-centered education for venous thromboembolism (VTE) and atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment/secondary prevention. Specifically, the objectives are to develop, assess, and implement a VTE/AF education program that meets the cultural, linguistic, and health literacy needs of francophone patients living in a linguistic minority situation who are receiving anticoagulation therapy services at the Montfort Hospital Thrombosis clinic.
